The European Association of Plastics and Rubber Industrial Machinery Manufacturers (Euromap) has developed a standardised label for vertical injection moulding machines to clarify the energy saving power levels of processing machines. It is reported that the label will be put into use from October 1, 2014, to facilitate customers to compare the power of different machinery manufacturers. A common neutral label would allow manufacturers to more transparently show the energy efficiency levels of their devices, allowing customers to compare them. Euromap said. Euromap recently published recommendations for the power rating of the mechanical type for this label. The label is currently available for injection molding machines (Euromap60.1) and extrusion blow molding machines (Euromap46.1). In addition, Euromap is promoting related operations for other types of machinery. The arrangement means that manufacturers can decide whether to use the label at their own discretion and Euromap does not enforce it. Therefore, it is different from the European Union's power label for large household appliances such as refrigerators.
